Hi. I need some advice..again!! My 15.5 month old daughter is suffering
from her second ear infection in 3 weeks. The doctor she saw mentioned
referring her to a specialist to have grommets put in! (after 2
infections!...I suspect that they are the same infection). She has 2
bottles of cows
I'm not a midwife, so this is just my opinion. What has the size of your
pelvis got to do with tearing? Am I missing something here? That doesnt
make any sense to me. I think you need to change obs. Get a mother and
baby friendly ob. He is using scare tactics with you, telling you you'll
I just remembered something else about my run in with the formula creep. I
brought up the subject of DHA, saying that they don't even know if it has
any advantages, and indeed, it could be harmful and questioned the sources
of DHA (slaughterhouse by products, fungus and fish guts etc). I told
I think because of the stigma stuck to communism in our capitalist society,
ppl wouldnt appreciate being dictated to about Marx, and most would never
have heard the quote, or even of Marx. They also may associate us with
communists, which I dont think is a bad thing, but others may. I like it
Go Pinky I thought that was really good!!! I think it really
discredited controlled crying anyway. Keep up the good work, and I'll be
sure to find your book next week.

Hi. The reason I ask is personal. I, as you all may know,

relactated. I STILL dont have periods back after nearly 15

Macha's relactation story.
Baby Emeleen was born 22nd March, 2001
As a recent consumer, I can say that the (over) emphasis on technique and
latch, although it is important, is very confusing. When I had my daughter,
in a baby friendly hospital, every midwife had a different idea about what I
was meant to be doing. Confusion is not the word. My mind was in
Macha's relactation story.
Baby Emeleen was born 22nd March, 2001. First day was great. Second night
was a nightmare. She wouldnt stop crying and my nipples were beginning to
hurt. Midwife taught me to use controlled crying...on my 2 DAY old baby (If
I knew then what I know now!). She
Hi. Theres a great article in Melbournes child about private health
insurance being a risk factor in pregnancy. Also, a not so reassuring
article about breastfeeding. I've included a letter to the editor below.

A midwife taught me about controlled crying when my daughter was but a
day old. I find that appalling!! So much for it not being
reccomended to babies under 6 weeks.

As far as I know, the danger lies in the contractions of the uterus pumping
too much blood through the umbilical cord, into the baby, which ultimatly
causes jaundice. I think the cord must be clamped 3 minutes at the most
after the injection. Hope this helps!!

I cant see how the oxytocic crossing the placenta would cause any problems,
afterall, women who are induced are pumped with phenominal amounts of the

see that it would make any difference.
