it comes back to individual choices, the mothers and the midwives. Being one of those night-duty girls, my Mum's get 'encouraged' to co-sleep if it's a choice they want. I find that a lot of Mum's be they primeps or multis' look at you for advice or approval. We do talk about the risks

Interesting thought Judy. I've often wondered the same. I breastfed daughter no.3 for 6 months. But around that time I fed her her first solids of *shame shame* whipped cream from the spoon whilst I was preparing for a dinner party.. She is now a *big* girl ( at 15) who lusts after food 24/7.
