This seems to be like wading through treacle! I don't remember having these
problems when set this up in PF 5.4.
I've now have PKI installed and checked that it is running, but when I try to
access the URL I get 'Internal Server Error' does anyone have any ideas what I
should check now?
To let you know what cause your issue,
it seems you had python-django installed independently and the
dependencies we needed(for packetfence-pki) were not available for the
version you had installed, so that's why it failed to install the package.
Thanks

I think this may be related to your resolv.conf not having any entries for
local host. I would add "localhost127.0.0.1" and I believe it should work
without having to make changes to pf.conf.defaults file.

Hi,
Here are the results of the commands. I've set the iptables.conf and rebooted
before I raised an issue., and yes - I'm connecting on https
[root@OS-PF ~]# netstat -nlp| grep 9393
tcp0 0 :::9393 :::*

Thanks Antoine,
This is happens every time. I can restart the configurator process and it
always gets stuck at step 4.
I can log into mysql as root and pf from the console with no problem.
I tried dropping the databases and restarting the configurator and it I
still got stuck at step 4.
I also
Hi Jake,
This shouldn't have happened as pf.conf values override the ones in
pf.conf.defaults.
Can you post your broken pf.conf, its likely just that the db host
config is misplaced.
Otherwise you'll have to change pf.conf.defaults every time you upgrade
because it will get overwritten.
Hello Rob,
Are you able to manually log in the DB as pf and root?
Is this happening every time before reaching step4 on the configurator?
Please make sure the pf password are right in conf/pf.conf and
conf/pfconfig.conf
If you need to retest it and your PacketFence *IS NOT* in production,

Hello,
I would like to ask you, exist possibility to display node details with port
name instead of number?
For example we have port 10136.
But would be better, to keep somehow map - Fa0/35 or Gi0/3 or Gi3/0/5 (for
cluster 2960/3560/3750/3850 clusters) ?
How I can do bit improvement which is
Thanks Holger,
MySQL is definitely up and listening on 3306. I can login fine from the
console.
There are no special chars in the password which may cause issues (i did
have this issue initially with the default root password due the @ and "
being switched on my UK keyboard ;-) ).
The fact that
This was down to PF server not having access back onto the managed switch,
resolved now by defining a read community (v2c) or user (v3) and appropriate
credentials to perform the SNMP read on the managed switch.
Problem solved!

Hi,
Apologies if this has been answered before but I'm trying to find the latest
PKI install guide for PF 6.3.0. I want to install it on the same server as we
have PF ZEN 6.3.0 running at the minute.

Hi,
are you sure, the database is up at all? And you are using the same character
sets, when typing blind into the web-interface as when setting it up in the
console?
This sort of error is seldom for Americans, but for people from the rest of the
world one has to take care of this…
Bye,
Resolved. SNMP read access to switch needed.
