I'm guessing that the reason it's a screw is because you're not
supposed to be adjusting the range. Different countries have different laws
pertaining to how far these devices can transmit.

Yes, you simply plug it into your speaker socket. Incidentally, I've got
the Veronica fm transmitter and I purchased a special cable which plugs into
the speaker socket and has two sockets attached, so I've got both my
computer speakers and my hi-fi if I wish.

this screw will help the transmitter to have more distance, thus, the
freequency can be heard from a radio farther away. Hope this helps.

transmitter; I'm not sure of the exact name. But they can be gotten from
the C-Crane company. You'd think that..as many times as I've heard their
phone number..that I'd know it by heart! But alas..I can't think of it
