Hi,
check if:
1. There are new drivers available.
2. If you can move your sound card to another slot in the machine.
Best regards

Thanks. Winamp does play some Windows Media files, but seems to have
trouble with this particular type. Thanks for responding.

Hi,
Oh what asus board does only have one available pci slot?
Never mind. I think it's the way elloquenze is switching sample rate.
You should really try moving your card to another slot.

Hi,
Thanks for the help. It seems to be working now (could hear myself when I

I made Skype point to my sound card like you said (it was set on Windows

Hi There.
No expert on the scripts, but when you press the following keys; F4, F5, F6,
F7, F8 and F9, jaws announces; Play, Rewind, Fast Forward, Pause, Stop

much more than this. In any case, the scripts are free so
Hi to the PC Audio list.
I have recently purchased what is refered to as a Sony Network Walkman style
MP3 player.
I have played around with the Sonic Stage software that is bundled with the
player, but have had no luck trying to figure out how to transfer files or
delete files from the player
Which version of Sonic Stage are you using? There is now a version 3.4.
In general, none of the versions seems easy to use.
I think another poster to this list, Michael Lang, has had some luck in
using Sonic Stage.
As an alternative, you can use Real Player+ to transfer tracks to a Sony
player.
Hi Scott.
This is jitter and will be caused by either a dodgy disc or a dodgy CD-ROM.
You may reduce or remove the effect by applying error correction when
ripping. To do this:
1. Start media player
2. Go to tools and options.
3. On the devices tab, locate your CD-ROM drive and tab to
Hi, Clifford, thanks for the response.
I have sonic stage 3.2 now, and I wasn't sure whether programs like windows

support this device.
Using real player sounds real intriguing.
I will check this out.
I'll let you know if I

You might be able to get high quality ear plugs at your local music

Jerry, what types or brands of professional ear plugs did you sell?
I still haven't contacted a gun shop, but will do that.
I'm also wondering if Hobbytron, the vendor of several fm

Jerry,
They are called Sonic Two, from North Safety Products, I believe; I think
the subtitle name is Sonic Noise Eliminator and I had said that they were
from Norton, but I had a sighted person read the fine print, to find out

No, these discs aren't copy protected. Also, I believe if there was some
sort of copy protection in place, it wouldn't allow any ripping to occur. I
can rip, some tracks just come out a little dirty, with some crackling or
ticking.

Dan,
Are these labels clear? I bought the CD Stomper but the labels
appear to be colored, and so would obscure the labels on commercial
cds. I'd love to label my cd's and I know people have used these
labels in their braillers, but we have enough sighted people looking

Please tell us where you got the braillable round CD labels.

yes this is
Lowest common denominator. You broadcast in mono, you can reach more
people by lowering your bandwidth while maintaining reasonable sound
quality.
