Hello, I was looking for a small Windows program for raising the volume of some of my OTR MP3 files that were barely audible. Came across the following: www.mp3volumer.com This program does a great job at doing exactly what I wanted. In addition, it allows you to encode the audio file into another format. Completely accessible to JAWS. Very very fast! You can also batch process an entire folder too. Thought I would share this find with the group. Have a good day! -Kenny

How does this program compare to MP3 Gain, which I have used for years. Also, does this program install other garbage on your computer? I myself never used MP3Gain. And no, this program doesn't come bundled with any malware at all. Very small, fast and 100% accessible to JAWS. That's all I need LOL! And with NVDA? Becausd GainMP3 with NVDA to look at the results of how much volume level of the files to determine how much, or to leave the file alome, one needs to use the Flat review cursor. Does Alexa Show read your emails?
Hello, I'm Audrey Joy in NYC. I have a friend who is housebound, doesn't read braille or type; I feel the Alexa Show would be perfect for him if it would read his emails. (He's currently using "Internet Speech" over the phone). My friend is from India and he listens to Indian movies and music via his cable network "Tv Asia." Will he be able to access his Indian movies and music through the Alexa Show? I know it provides YouTube videos and music. Thank you for any help you provide. Have a nice day. Audrey
RE: Does Alexa Show read your emails?
Hi. How are you doing? That's a creative idea on your part. I am not sure that device is even quite selling yet. I don't know the answer, because I haven't dived into the whole digital assistant world yet, among other reasons. I suggest you call Amazon Disability Support line, (888) 283-1678. They should know, or be able to find out. Can you imagine? On Tuesday, I'm leaving for a week to sing in the first-ever European Baha'i Choral Festival at the Baha'i House of Worship in germany. With my voice, even! I've been practicing the music for 30 to 90 minutes almost all days, and the voice is getting a little better. One thing I like about this house is that it is long, and I can go in the garage and sing and nobody can really hear me at all. Hope business and all are going well. Thanks Kenny. I have downloaded it and will try it out. I have been using "mp3gain" until now but will give this one a try. Thanks. Let us know how MP3 Gain and this program compare after you try this one. On 5/21/2017 9:54 PM, Howard Traxler wrote: Thanks Kenny. I have downloaded it and will try it out. RE: Here's a Cool Little Program for Raising the Volume of Audio Files.
You can't tell it to raise the volume to a certain level. You can raise by fixed percentage values, only and have to try it and check the results. You also can't prevent clipping with this program. It is fairly fast and, with practice, you can adjust the volume of a folder in one or two tries. I am looking for a command line version of such a program. Preferably one that raises volume to a set level rather than by a set amount.
