Converting files
Hello everyone, I was wondering, can I convert Real Player files into mp3? If so, can I just convert them in the same way I might convert an ogg file? You know, 44,000 sampling rate, and so forth. Re: Playing Real Audio content
Realone is very good but jaws is sooo slow with it!! that's a real shame because it's really accessible. that's the problemw ith alternatives for programs like real player. they don't have the code sources so, to put it this way, no-one but you is responsible for anything that could happen to your system. i'm not a pattent or copyright freak yet, for my system's safety I prefer to be careful. You can use GoldWave, however, I am not familiar with the recording setup. But I can tell you that GoldWave has everyfeature you will need. Something to keep in mind, if you are recording voice, you may want to set your recording format to mp3, to conserve disk space, because wav files typically take up about 10mb per minute. MP3's take up only about 1mb per minute. Hi Alan. You only need download the ASPI driver if CDEX tells you that it's needed. Without this driver CDEX will not even start. If you're able to start CDEX then you've already got this driver somewhere on your system. It comes with Nero for a start and probably lots of other applications. Re: Playing Real Audio content
The latest recommendations coming from the winamp for the blind list is to install real player 10 or 10.5, windows media player and winamp 5.05. All co-exist quite nicely these days and each can be configured only to play what you want them to play. I personally have all of these programs installed and have no problems. The Tara plug in is well out of date and threads on this now unsupported plug in just don't go anywhere. A couple more questions about Adobe Audition.
Hi there! I have the Adobe scripts now, and I'm just wondering how I can edit on the fly using Adobe audition. For example, I would like to edit out big gaps of silence during a file. Is there a hot key that allows me to edit on the fly. In sound forge, it's left bracket to select the beginning of the part I want to delete, and right bracket to highlight the end, and then you press the delete key. Let me introduce myself. My name is Dennis Cafiero I am a software developer in California that has been working day and night to bring you VOIPail. I apologize when I launched the site last night I did not expect to get such a large amount of responses on people wanting to join the Beta program for VOIPail and when I initially set up the site I screwed up some of the code so it was adding you to the Beta list but referring you to a wrong url. Since then I have fixed it and everyone has been added to the Beta List. Now a little bit about VOIPail. I have been developing VOIPail's voicemail application utilizing Skype's API so that Skype users can have a voicemail support for Skype. I know that Skype is currently developing there own voicemal but VOIPail is a larger project then just Skype. VOIPail will integrate with a large amount of VOIP applications and Voice Messaging applications so that there is one centralized voicemail system for all your voice messages. I have been working hard to bring you the first Beta version of VOIPail and am shooting to release a Beta to selected Skype Beta Testers on November 15th. I also am going to try to improve the site with some more detail over the next few weeks so, that everyone is better informed on the product. Since so far I am a one man team I have been working hard to get as much code done for the Beta release. Also, if you could all help in spreading the word out about VOIPail that would be great to. I have placed a Tell a Friend link on the website and hopefully by the end of the week I will have a better site up. Re: WinMx
I tried version 3.53 and didn't find it any less accessible. I went back to 3.31 because quickmx is 3.31 spacific and I wanted to be able to use that program. My understanding is that the main improvements in the newer version were in the chat function, which I haven't found to be accessible regardless of what version is being used. - Original Message - From: Paul Hutson [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list.
