Where to host my Files?

2017-10-12 Thread Jesse Tregarthen
Hello,

I have a wordpress.com blog and I used to be able to imbed a audio player using
a short code and a dropbox public link but those were discontinued as of this
September. Another viable option is soundcloud but we can’t find any
information regarding current plans and unfortunately we have no money to put
into this project so was wondering if there was a free way to do this. Thanks,

Re: Audacity Simple Question/Selecting from Cursor Position to End of Track and Deleting the Selection

2017-09-25 Thread Jesse Tregarthen
Hello David,

The way I accomplish this task is by pressing shift-a while the file is
playing. This stops the file and places the cursor at that place. Then press
shift-end and that will select to the end of the file. In the new version of
Audacity, a different command than shift-a is used and you'd have to ask
somebody who uses that version or consult David Bales's guide on Audacity with
JAWS. This guide does work when using other screenreaders. Hope this helps.
Best,
Jesse

Re: Seeking easy normalization program

2017-09-10 Thread Jesse Tregarthen
Hello,

There is a program I've heard of called Levelator. I know it's for Mac but
don't know about Windows. I also don't know about price. Hopefully somebody
else can shed some light as I have only heard about it in passing.

Marley Get Together Bluetooth Speaker

2017-05-18 Thread Jesse Tregarthen
Hey,

I just recently got this new bluetooth speaker and thought I'd quickly rave
about it. It is made by a company called Marley and is called Get Together. I
picked it up because it was in my price range. It cost me $180 at a Canadian
store called Visions Electronics. The guy said it goes for about $209. This is
in Canadian dollars. I love the sound of it. It has a good amount of bass and
is very clear. I also like it because it makes a sound when it turns on, turns
off and connects to a device. I just thought I'd mention it to anybody who's
looking for a nice bluetooth speaker. Best,

Question About Recording in TeamTalk

2016-11-30 Thread Jesse Tregarthen
Hello all,

I'm looking to record a podcast using TeamTalk to interact with my fellow
podcasters. I'd like to have each person on a different file so I can edit them
as separate tracks. TeamTalk has a feature that records each person to a
different file but I'm wondering why it doesn't record my file. A couple times
it did but lately, I record a test discussion and at the end, there's a file
for everybody but me. I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. Thanks,
Jesse Tregarthen

Hello,

On an unrelated note, how did you generate that Dropbox link? Whenever I
generate a link from Dropbox, it's different than that and doesn't allow me to
just download the file. Best,
Jesse

Re: Any good audiotutorials on Audasity?

2016-10-18 Thread Jesse Tregarthen
Hello,

I'm not sure about being able to do what you're talking about. I do believe
there is an NVDA add-on for Audacity but I could be wrong. I can't seem to find
it but I heard there was one.

I hope I helped a bit. Best,
Jesse Tregarthen

Re: Recording from Skype

2015-09-29 Thread Jesse Tregarthen
Hello,

I use the MX Skype recorder. It is very easy to use and can be set up
to automatically record Skype conversations if you want. The trial
only lets you record for 5 minutes, though. The paid versions cost
$29.00 US and $40.00 US. The website is www.skyperec.com. Hope this
helps. Best,
Jesse

Hello all,

I hope this day is keeping you well. I am looking at trying my hand in
podcasting and I have heard there are many free services which will
host your podcasts and even make them available on iTunes and I was
just wondering if anybody could please recommend the most liked, both
in terms of best experience and best accessibility.

Thank you for your time. Regards,
