Re: Adobe Flash Player
I usually just click on the button that says i until it goes away. The other main button says q, and you know that one can only lead to misery. I figure Adobe has become the industry standard in decrapitude and my web experience will somehow be a bit less awesome if I don't click on that mysterious button enough times to make it work. The whole thing is quite comical. We've become slaves to these companies. If you use firefox you can dispense with all this and get the plugin from them. - Original Message - From: john melia uncle...@verizon.net To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Wednesday, February 16, 2011 9:04 PM Subject: Re: Adobe Flash Player Content analysis details: (0.0 points) pts rule name description -- -- _SUMMARY_ X-Antivirus: AVG for E-mail 8.5.449 [271.1.1/3447] this good I use this and it is easier to reinstall I have windows xp home and it seems to do this a lot. - Original Message - From: Richard Claypool bellevue@gmail.com To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Wednesday, February 16, 2011 8:51 PM Subject: Re: Adobe Flash Player http://updateflash.org - Original Message - From: john melia uncle...@verizon.net To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Wednesday, February 16, 2011 8:14 PM Subject: Re: Adobe Flash Player I have had this problem I uninstalled and reinstalled for some reason my computer does this a lot with the flash player. - Original Message - From: Ketan Kothari muktake...@gmail.com To: PC Audio Pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Wednesday, February 16, 2011 10:36 AM Subject: Adobe Flash Player Dear Friends, All of a sudden I notice that my radio channels that are playing in Adobe Flash player are mute. problems with Adobe Flash Player
Hello everyone, I currently have Adobe Flash Player 10 active X installed on my pc. However, it doesn't seem to work at all. There's a cermon I listen to on Sunday mornings, on tfhny.org. I've suggested to the church who owns the site, that they could provide other options in addition to Adobe Flash, so that people who either didn't have, or couldn't use Adobe Flash Player, would have a variety of media players to choose from, when listening to the stream. My suggestion was well excepted. It may take some time though, before they're able to include these options on the site. So for now, I have to use Adobe Flash Player to listen. As I stated above, the current version I have doesn't work very well. When I go to the main page of the site, there's a link almost mid-way down the page that says, (live church). If you click on this on any Sunday morning between 8:30 A.M, and 1:30P.M Eastern time, a new window opens, and within a matter of seconds or so, you'll hear the stream. With older versions of the player, there was never a problem, the audio would start up right away. But with this version, I hear nothing. Is there anything I can do to fix this? or should I just upgrade to a newer version. I don't really keep up with Adobe Flash, is there a newer version available? If so, where can I go to download it? Just to make sure that my question is stated clearly, I'm trying to listen to a live stream, using Adobe Flash Player 10 Active X, but I can't hear the audio of the stream and I'd like to know what I can do to get it to play. Mike Rochester, NY. PS. I'm using windows xp home. At first, I thought that it was just a browser problem. I've tried listening to the stream on this site using both Internet Explorer 7, which is what I currently have, and Firefox 3.5, but I still can't get the audio to play. Re: problems with Adobe Flash Player
A few possibilities here. The last time I couldn't get Adobe Flash Player (AFP) to run, the solution was to enable Shockwave. I did this by going to Internet Explorer, tools, options, then control-tabbing to programs. Tab from there to the manage add-ons button. Press spacebar and then tab around. You will find a list of add-ons, one of which should be Shockwave. Make sure it's checked. To install the current version of AFP, it's ideal that you first uninstall the current version. Here are directions and links copied from a posting on another list: Before you find the flash player download link, you need to uninstall the previous version. The tool to do that is here http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157 The flash player is here http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash - Original Message - From: mbern6...@aol.com To: pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Saturday, February 27, 2010 2:49 PM Subject: problems with Adobe Flash Player Hello everyone, I currently have Adobe Flash Player 10 active X installed on my pc. Correction. I just reminded myself that AFP no longer seems to require the uninstallation step. So ignore it in my previous message unless you run into problems that getting rid of the old version might overcome. - Original Message - From: mbern6...@aol.com To: pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Saturday, February 27, 2010 2:49 PM Subject: problems with Adobe Flash Player Hello everyone, I currently have Adobe Flash Player 10 active X installed on my pc.
