Update on Power DVD
Hello, I have fixed the problem with the screen resolution. I had to put it on landscape. However, once I activated the product, it said that Power DVD is not responding. Every time I chose to wait for the program to respond, all it would do is bring up the same dialog. I'm using the Deluxe version of the program. Does anyone have any ideas? Latest Version of Power DVD
Hello, I was wondering, how accessible is the latest version of Power DVD? I remember that I used to use a version of Power DVD that we bought several years ago and that was accessible. However, I'm using Windows 7 and need to upgrade so I was wondering how accessible it is. Thank you in advance. To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org
Re: Latest Version of Power DVD
It is accessible as it always has been. It is usable under WIndows 7 but, be warned, it will make itself the default player for everything sound and video. It kept doing that and I got so annoyed with it that I uninstalled it and went back to Windows Media Player. Power DVD Feedback
Use Nero 9's Showtime to watch your DVD's. Nero 8 seems to be just about the exact same thing as my previous version of Power DVD. Check Nero help files for Showtime hotkeys. I've noticed in the last couple of posts you've purchased then asked the list. Try maybe asking first then determining if using the product is possible. Otherwise you'll end up owning software you can't use. If this is the goal then forgive me. Matthew To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org
Power DVD 9
Hello List! I just recently purchased Power DVD 9 Ultra and installed it on my system. You know, this program's interface is totally inaccessible. In fact, when I click on the icon on my desktop, nothing happens and I thought the screen was blank. My wife had to click on the feature buttons for me to play a DVD. All kinds of graphical stuff shows and the regular commands are on the screen, but not readable with JAWS or Windows. I know there are no JAWS or Window-Eyes scripts for Power DVD, but if I am wrong and some do exist, do let me know where to get them. Power DVD Problem
Hello, I am having a problem with Power DVD, although I am not sure about weather it is the program or my computer's DVD player. I am trying to play a film and in some scenes, such as gunfights and when there is a lot of noise, it starts to break up. I know it is not Window Eyes causing the problem. I tried checking the CD, the inside of the DVD player and running the cleaning CD, but to no avail. What else could I do? I do not want to have to resort to having to replace my DVD player. help with Power DVD
I have a question about Power DVD 7 Deluxe. On a DVD with several episodes of a TV show how do you get from one episode to another? I am trying to get from one episode of CSI to the next, but under titles menu under title two 3 and 4 it says unavailable on all the chapters under each title. Title 1 is the only one that plays. Is there something else I need to do? Power DVD is actually pretty easy if you use your Applications key to access the menus. There are also many hot keys for the various functions if you care to commit them to memory. Just don't expect to hear the actual titles on the DVD since screen readers can't get this information. The best you can expect is Title 1, Title 2, etc. and the speaking of chapter numbers in the chapter submenu. -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hello Jim. I've been using PowerDVD 4.x for a couple of years and have realized that really when it comes to a dvd player, what can you upgrade? I mean, 4.x has the audio language menu item, you can use the numbers on the keyboard to pick scene numbers or episode numbers for TV series dvds, etc. I'd be interested in knowing what all new and enhanced features the version 6 has over 5 and 4. - -- My philosophy is: Don't think. -- Charles Manson Raul A. I use Power DVD quite often.
