Its paired with the Bluetooth from the base station, not the handset.

Does exactly as I said apparently, if the cordless phone rings your mobile
phone rings and you answer and talk on the mobile thus if you want to make a
call you dial the number on the mobile and the call is made through the
cordless phone even though you speak to the other party using the mobile
handset.

I'd imagine that the cordless and mobile handsets have to be fairly close to
each other - about 30 feet maximum range - given that Bluetooth is used.

I know you are supposing that this will work via bluetooth, but it
seems rather strange to me, and unless there is some sort of means of
remotely answering, i.e. the cordless unit rings halfway across the
house, and you can't get there, but you have your mobile phone on you
and can thus answer that call, I don't see the point.

My Panasonic cordless phone set offers this feature. They call it link to
cell. It actually worked quite well the last time I tried it. Range was OK,
but not great. Voice quality was excellent. There are several Panasonic
cordless models that offer this feature. It will support up to 2 cell
phones.

Best regards,

I haven't used my iPhone with my landline but the manual says it is possible.
I have used myhearing aid neckloop with the landline phone and it is great no
to have to run for the phone on my desk.

Hi!

I’m very much looking forward to hearing about a new Cordless phone from Vtech
a friend of mine has just purchased.

One of its many features is the ability to allow the user to make and receive
calls using a mobile handset from anywhere in the house using Bluetooth, I’ve
no reason not to believe that the system will work just as well with an Android
phone as it would with an iPhone.

The suspense is killing me so in order to try and relax a little, I thought I’d
ask if anyone here has used such a phone system and how did they find it?

The nearest thing to this I’ve used is the FaceTime system on a Mac with an
iPhone where you can place/answer calls from your Mac’s keyboard and “Talk
away!”
