Did you have the A version or the F version? I have had both and my A version is better than the F which I sold. Dont forget, I am talking about near range usage and at small fstops like 11-22 because the flash is powerful enough to allow those stops even at iso 200. I have no idea if its any good

Trying some of my manual lenses with the K20D. I shot this with the K85/1.8. ISO 1600, f2.8, 1/125th. Love this lens. I use it with a metal hood from the Super Tak 200/4 on a step up ring. Makes a nice unit, and of course even that long hood won't vignette on the K20 sensor. http://photo.n

She'll probably still get better results with the K10D and the 18-250 than with most P&S cameras. And if she decides she needs a better lens, it's an option... Photozone.de reviewed it recently. It seems a decent performer, within the limits of the kind, on Klaus' test bench.
