Dan, I've never seen/experienced any moire with the K-5IIs. I've never seen or used a K-5II. The K-3 is a tad sharper and better at autofocus, but only a tad. K-5IIs is not my backup camera to the K-3, but I don't hesitate to reach for it. ...Remember, you can't take it with you. Regards, Bob S.
