As for (not) thinking about the elephant... That reminded me of an old
quote from Mikhail Bulgakov's novel "Heart of a Dog":

In PS, it's under Filters / Stylize / Find Edges.

It depends on the photo. If the objects of interest are reasonably
uniformly exposed, and if there is a reasonable contrast (I've working

anything in Photoshop.
But occasionally I have an idea for a manipulation on the photo...
I think, this is somewhat reminiscent of a drawing. (What
Very beautiful, Ken!
The edge highlights and the dark background make them (leaves) stand out,
literally and figuratively.

Oops, I discovered that my display was way too bright, so, the gallery
ended up too dark. I've just re-uploaded the photos replacing them in
place. So, if you've already seen them more than 7 minutes ago, you can
take a look again.

Well, I actually don't know how many ... definitely more than 1001...

We saw this guy on December 24th being a Santa in front of his front yard:
If I remember correctly, there was a discussion on the list related to the
color rendering in low light and ISO invariance. I don't rember all the
arguments, but I have two factors in mind that may affect the colors.
But first, - just in case: have you checked that both the temperature and

In that case, a hand-scanner would be a viable option.
But that's, in my mind, is a tedious job, especially if the volume is high

But in that case, any type of designed-for-large-volume camera based setup

I don't have first-hand expertise with this.
From what I've read, - most (if not all?) document archives/libraries are
using scanners rather than photo cameras for this purpose these days.
Obviously, there are different types of scanners.
Typically, flatbed scanners are used for scanning
I usually do not go into speculations about Pentax plans, but here, the

It is very logical if KP is _not_ the flagman of the APS-C lineup.
Based on the specs and trends, it sounds like it would be a

Great to see you back!

I hope all more serious issues (health) are back to norm too.

This is an interesting comparison, but it is a bit narrow-focused: it
looks only at the specs, but does not involve the performance.
It also makes some mistakes in the analysis of the specs.
The first question that pops in my mind after reading this comparison:

Having started photographing with a camera with a single fixed and
non-changable lens, I was forced to crop during printing (which I was

Then, when switched to slides (and a DSLR, albeit only with one "normal"

What's interesting and a bit strange is the loss of AF-C mode, - at least
from the focus mode switch. (It might be hidden in the menues, - but based
on the shift toward "analog" controls, it is less likely; maybe it is
