What Apple's strategy is toaday may be debatable. But Steve Jobs made it
very clear that his intention was to do everything he could to bury Google.
I see the suit against Samusung as just part of this overall objective.

No, this suit isn't about Google. This one goes back to the late seventies when
the Apple II was being cloned by Asian manufacturers. They were fairly close to
exact knock-offs although some added an extra key to the keyboard and maybe
changed the startup ROM so that it didn't say Apple ][ when

Rounded corners I think are a relatively trivial issue, though I must admit
that I am surprised to see how many non-Apple phones look so much like Apple.
You would think that other companies designers could do something other than
copy. The part I most strongly react to is the patent(s)
That is what struck me as well. Before the iPhone, there were lots of
different cell phones, and they each looked and operated differently.
