Rob,

Sorry, no, I never bothered to compare them in a test set-up, I sold all my non-
A lenses when it was apparent that Pentax would no longer support aperture
selection from the lens.

I'm pretty sure it's the same plane of focus, the OOF areas were rendered
completely differently in any image that I

I forgot to mention that the image was focussed dead centre on one of the nail
heads in the fence, it wouldn't surprise
Rob,
do you have comparison with K135/2.5?
thanx,

Does anyone have experience with any of these gorgeous
new SL lenses from Voigtlander? For Pentax fit, it
seems they currently make a 180/4 APO, 125/2.5 APO,
90/3.5 APO, and a 40/2 ASPH. (A few other of their
lenses are either no longer available or only fit
certain Nikons.) It is interesting
This one looks interesting --
Voigtlander 125/2.5 APO-Lanthar -- a
macro with a decent focal length for
people who can afford it. Is there test
data for these lenses to be found anywhere?

I had the chance to play with Rob Studdert's when he was here (125mmf2.5
lens...get your mind out of the gutter). The build quality isexceptional the
optical performance is stunning. The Pentax versioneven has the 'A' position on
the aperture ring.
If I wasn't on a self imposed lens buying ban

Rob Studdert is likely to chime in with all sorts of good things to say
(and photos to back his words up)

I do and I am enthusiastic about my 125/2.5 APO (as mentioned by those who have
read my rants before) however I'd hardly call it new since I purchased my copy
Very revealing tests. The Pentax shows
nasty chromatic aberration. I think I'll
have to sell something (big) soon. Micro
and Macro are the only things that
really interest me these days.
