Yes, the power zoom FA28-105 is a great quality lens.
I almost gave up shooting with the PZ-1 and FA29-80 power zoom, it was so bad.
I reverted to the Super Program instead of the PZ-1.
Years later, I got my hands on the 28-105 and it was as good as the
other was bad.

Dear Ann,
As you probably know, that SMC K 30mm is QUITE a find. Apparently one
of the sharpest lenses Pentax ever produced. Makes all your 28mm and
35mm lenses quite expendable.
I dream of days like you just had.

One of my favorite images (taken by others) on Flickr was taken with
that 30mm (on FILM).

Looks like the image was taken with a medium format camera (and not
just OF one).

Just to join the chorus: that 30mm f/2.8 performed even better to my
eye than the FA31mm f/1.8 Limited. It's a perfect normal lens for the
*ist D if you don't mind manual operation.

Wow! Congratulations. The 28-105 i by all accounts an excellent lens -- a good
walkaround focal length --and I believe the 39.2.8 is both somewhat rare and
desirable. If that 50/1.4 is truly an FA it should autofocus with your D.
Maybe you just need to smack at around a bit and let it know
