I'm using Thunderbird, but I'm down-level & haven't "upgraded" to the
newer version that's causing all the problems. I'm waiting to see if
there's another update that fixes the problems caused by the current

I've always left the autofocus on the 5 point thingy - but it does seem

Right click under the buttons on the message pane & select "Customize"
and you can drag the "Smart Reply" button that says "Reply List" when
it's not in customization mode to swap places with the "Reply" button
and it will stay there when you click [Done].

That's the way it SHOULD work. I think the new version of Thunderbird
broke that.
"Reply" goes to the individual sender, "Reply List" goes to the list
mailbox and "Reply All" goes to anyone who was "CC:".
I don't think the latter works with PDML because it doesn't display the
list members as

and, as such, if you don't need anything from it now and haven't in the past,
the data doesn't matter. Attach a new drive and create a new backup: you're
done.

here with a 500GB (empty) drive. I just ordered a 2TB drive for it,
which is the largest that will fit. That will let me empty the broken
drive and repair or replace it.
