SCSI protocol adaptation is difficult and only rarely a commercially viable
proposition. It's much more cost effective to acquire a secondhand Nikon
Coolscan IV or V (LS 40 or 50) and drive it with VueScan or other scanning
software.

Looked into a somewhat similar requirement awhile back. After having

A couple of years ago I tried to find a USB/SCSI converter for exactly the same

success. For some reason, the suppliers of the only ones I could find that did
not look flaky said
that the converter would not work with a scanner - could not work out why that
would be though,

Congrats Dave, and to the mom and dad.
Lovely looking child and good pix.
Wish I had one! Regards, Bob S.

Yep, it's a bit of a punt but might give it a go.

I believe Feisol, Benro, Sirui and Induro all come out about the same.
I'm not positively certain that they all come out of the same factory,
but I certainly have my suspicions... :-)
I have two different carbon Induros. They're both a little fiddly with
the locking mechanism, but not
Interesting question (I have an old Minolta SCSI scanner somewhere...).
There's a lot of info on adapters intended to make SCSI hard drives
accessible by USB, and it is possible that it will translate well to
scanners. Hard to find testimonies online from people who have tried it
tho...
Interesting and unfamiliar critter.
Striking colors.
Thanks, Dave!

Hi Listers
I have an old but possibly still useful Nikon LS-1000 film scanner with
a SCSI connection.
Is there anything readily available on the market that would allow me to
connect the scanner to either USB or FireWire on a recent Mac computer?
Thanks
