Re: Pentax KP

2020-09-28 Thread Christine Aguila
Thanks, everyone! I’m so out of touch with Pentax gear; it’s embarrassing. I
was also stunned to hear about Canon and Nikon’s shift to mirrorless cameras.
I hope to give all my gear a workout for the next couple of weeks. I have a
few photo-homework-assignments in mind with the hope of getting my photog-eye
back into shape.

Cheers, Christine

I like cream with my bokeh.

I've been using that 67 105mm f:2.4 with my 645Z and the results are
wonderful. It makes a terrific portrait short tele on the 645 format.

Pentax Forums has a section devoted to that body. It seems to be well
enough liked.
Also, it looks like a new flagship level APS-C body is just over the
horizon. From the looks of the way Ricoh is pricing stuff, I expect it
will be priced well north of $2k, I expect somewhere around $2.5k.

Yeah, we all think Pentax should offer more features for 70% of what Nikon
gets to charge for their cameras.
That was the winning strategy that cost them their company and put them
into the loving embrace of Hoya.
Ricoh doesn't seem interested in that sort of winning.
