Terriffic shot! I love the light and modeling effects.
It looks almost surreal...

Ralf,
That's an excellent shot.
I am a US train hobbyist and know why they set-up on that curve.
It gives an excellent perspective on the train.
You have a powerful image of the front of the locomotive AND
a look at the rest of the train as it rounds the curve.
Furthermore, they are not all the

I applaud the efforts on the hummingbirds. They are very difficult to
capture in flight, but the nest shot is marvelous. You will have more
fun in the summer with them and the K20D. The instant feedback is
very helpful.
Tulip time already for you? We still see snow and not even the early

Rick,
I think this is a lot better than you give it credit for.
As shot, there is an impressive strength and size conveyed by that tree,
and the road along the way is your friend.
My only wish would be a clearer building in the background.

Mat,
Nice shot. I was there earlier last month but the panorama I tried on
that sandbar didn't work out.
I think the birds have assigned spaces to stand and face into the wind. ;-)

I've got 6-8 sd cards.
One fast, 'no name' card I used frequently had the plastic covering fail.
First just a chip, then a crack and the housing folded up.
Not too good for pushing into the K10D spring loaded card slot.
I super glued it back together, but lost the write lock and that was that.

Dave,
I think the blurring/lack of focus is a very real problem.
I'm not a big fan of street photography and have been asking why.
I see lots of common, everyday images snapped from the environment.
They don't sing to me, yet I can find a gallery presentation interesting.
