A robin family built a nest in a bush right outside our back door,
practically on top of the driveway. I have been watching mama robin
do her thing for about a week... every time I'd check on her, she'd
be dutifully sitting on her nest. Then, a couple of days ago, I
peeked, and she wasn't there.
My kids don't even both matching their socks, for the most part. And
at ages 18, 14 11, they ought to know better. I can only conclude
this is a trend, and soon even us old folks will feel free to mismatch
our socks. Compelled, even.

I borrowed that very set-up from a friend a few weeks back for a
headshot-type shoot. It had the white backdrop, which was a canvas...
I feel like it might be on the heavy side for a shoot-thru softbox,

All in all, it was kind of nifty. It all stashes in a bag, and goes

occasion. As the evening grew darker, I had my flash (540) set up on
a stand softbox, firing with the camera's wireless
on the lighting.
Don't know what could be plaguing your camera, although it sounds like the
same mirror motor problem. Hopefully, it was just a one-time glitch.

Just a cautionary tale...
This summer we replaced the older mac mini that I have been using..
the new model is equipped with Thunderbolt. Hooked it up to my Dell
screens balanced regardless of intensity, but I like to have
detail in the darks when streaming a movie.
Anything more you want to know, ask. I'm moving this weekend, so you may not
get an answer for a week or so. Sorry.

Camera shake was a bit of a problem without it.

Yes, it's the runners coming straight at me that I have the most
trouble keeping in focus. On my first outing with this lens,
especially... it seemed like the focus was always just over the
shoulder of the person I was trying to catch. More diligent technique
helps... But I'll
that has good heft, but I'd imagine the 60~250
would need its own carry strap (or wheels) before I'd take on a day outing.
