Anything from 200 to 500 will be useful.
Just remember, the shorter the length the smaller the planes in the picture.
Maybe an economical 500mm mirror (or a less-common 300mm mirror) on a monopod
would be suitable on a bright sunny day. After all, you're shooting across
long distances.
I know it works with manual-focus lenses just fine.
But to use the feature with AF lenses, what's needed?
Cover the AF data pin on the mount?
Disallow engaging the AF mechanical connection?

I've only done it once. But it was simple.

For me there was really no compelling reason to buy the DS
form a comparative standpoint. That was not an issue.
I found it adequate to my needs. That was all.
