Body styling is obviously an important part of how a camera works
since you have to hold it to use it. I'm not a fan of retro per se as
much as I'm not a fan of modern styling for the sake of being
different. Body styling also affects compactness as a dove bar will
slide in your pocket whereas

If you look at the K5/X Pro 1 size comparison from the non-grip side,
the body has a similar thickness. The grip and prism bump make up the
size difference and probably part of the weight. It's pretty clear

The photo is fine. I think you need a bit more DoF if you want the
back row sharp, but the front row looks fine. As for the tarts, I'm
no one to judge but I think I would prefer the less fruit versions.
