Leon,
In my very case it is pretty trivial. During our visit to AutoWorld
museum in Brussels just for fun I gave my daughter my K10D with FA 43
attached and she took few shots. Then the following dialog transpired:
She: Dad, I want your camera.
Me: But dear, you have your own one (She has

Hi John,
I feel the same way, for me the upgrade path with film
cameras was usually the medium (film), or a new lens, so it
didn't matter that I was still using an MX when there were
newer models available, besides I enjoyed using the MX. I
waited until the MZ-3 before having a camera
no longer use.
Best regards,

Exactly what I am trying to do. Just getting money to be able to pay the

Someday, I will purchase a K200D. Right now, my ist D is my main
camera. I also own a Canon D30 which soon may be converted to IR because
I really like what happens to an image when taken in IR. Right now, I

Hi All,
I use any camera I have. For ones I'm relying upon for my work, I have
two identical bodies.
When I stop using a camera, I sell it. Same for lenses. Absolutely no
point for me to keep equipment taking up space in the closet that I'm
not using.

Same thing. It's going to become a cheap, high pixel count astro camera. If
I could rip the RGB off it, I'd do that too. For astro, I refocus for every
color anyway.

I currently keep the *istD at school and the DS at home. Too small, too
convenient, and works too well to discard. I genuinely wonder how long
these things will continue to function. Once 6 MP rolled around the

Right - two bodies is enough. I got the K20D two weeks ago - I must get arround

I also tend to stick with a brand and kit for financial reasons rather than

My *istD is basically just sitting there. I've tried to tempt my kids
into taking pics with it, but they don't bite. If I could get some
cash for it, I'd sell it, but it seems hardly worth the bother against
the paternal hope for a sudden increase in the kid's interest.

Actually, Henry's used prices are just bad, often 2-3x the actual
worth of the camera. Their lens prices are better, but if you like old
film camera it's better to go to their outlet store which has sane
pricing.
K1000's are worth $100-150CDN

I didn't say it wasn't simple to use. I said I found it a pain in the

The pain in the ass was that my father adored that camera and kept it
pristine perfect, as if it had never been touched. I take care of my
equipment but I don't treat it like sacred
