The Thursday parking lot pre-sale was always fun but I don't think it was a
real problem. The problem was created by early buyers that showed up in the
parking lot, opened their vehicle and started selling. Some sellers simply
showed up in the parking lot, sold items, and then went home. The
I have quite a few items available that I can bring to CAPS if there is
interest. They are:
Two large auditorium brass horns, $200 each / early mahogany Victrola XVI (not
L door) $375 / mahogany Victrola XI, $225 / original two piece Gem horn
(repainted) $125 / embossed screw in Columbia rear

Every 4th of July I take my Edison Gem B with 24 gearing and about six

I attended CAPS last weekend and wondered what others thought of the show and

which provided a very nice selection of machines ranging from entry level to
something for the advanced collector. I saw Berliners, Vic
I'm glad to have an open discussion about the sale and I think it's healthy.
The club did a great job. There were plenty of sellers providing a variety of
items at very good prices. It was simply a buyers market and buyers did not
open their billfolds very often. I thought attendance was OK
Anyone need a free electric motor for a phonograph? It's an induction disk
motor for a phonograph. All you pay is shipping. I have no idea if it work or
the age of the motor. With a family wedding in less than a week, there's no
time for photos. $20 should cover shipping. Thanks, Jerry
I vote with Jay. I don't restore unless necessary but I think a machine should
look pleasing. I suppose we all have different definitions of necessary.
