*Listening Tube Wires - ONLY THREE LEFT - $40.00*

Years ago, I found two original external listening tube support wires. They
were so useful, making those floppy listening tubes highly functional, that
I reproduced a batch of them, some to keep and some to sell to other
friends. They are very elegant and cool looking, exactly as the original,
nickel plated and highly functional.

*All Reprinted Paper - 20% off*

I am excited to announce my first ever, and possibly only, paper sale. All
paper is 20% OFF. That means if it is $5.00 in the attached brochure, then
it is $4.00 in this sale. This sale goes from now until the end of
February. Then its back to regular pricing.
Please email me directly for a brochure of over 50 reprinted catalogs
currently available.

*Very Early Cylinder Holder - $250*

A super early cylinder holder for cylinder records. This is wood,
rectangular, with 6 pegs to hold the cylinders. I have a picture available
for those with interest.

All items plus shipping cost only.

Lets start the fall off right with a sale of some items:

Super Nice and early Edison Amberola 30. This is the earliest model with
the pen striping on the bedplate and the gear cover. Collectors refer to
these as the "*decorated*" model as they are much more fancy than a regular
Amberola 30. They are different from the more common Amberola 30 in more
ways than the pen striping. They have only one carriage screw, the ID plate
is behind the front grill as well as other oddities. This one is in
stunning condition, all original. It has a super diamond stylus, great
original finish, no veneer problems. The earliest of these show up very
infrequently. Its hard to find a nicer one than this one. Pictures
available upon request. The price is *$450.00*.

5347 - Edison 5000 Blue Amberol by Vaugh DeLeath - It Made You Happy When
you Made Me Cry - Vaughn DeLeath was one of the most popular women singers
in the 20's. She was known as the "*Radio Girl*" Her records are highly
cherished. To find one in the higher number 5000 Blue Amberol series is
something really cool. This one plays beautifully. Sitting in the original
box, It is slightly our of round but once on the mandrel, it conforms and
plays well. The price is *$65.00*

Original Columbia Q recorder, very nice condition with the original glass
diaphragm, but missing the cutter stylus. comes with the original Q
recorder box.The price is *$75.00 *

A nice solid motor frame original casting for an Edison Model A, long case
home.The price is *$20.00 *

The earliest Edison DD machines came with their reproducer in a wooden
cradle. For sale is one of those cradles. The price is* $12.00*

Set of Two minute records:

1033 Medley of Popular Songs (Indestructible)
960 Rainbow (Indestructible)
1159 Street Piano Melody (Indestructible) Brown Wax - Content unknown.
No cracks, very minimal spotting - one needle dig at beginning that I didn't
want to play through.
9694 Edison Yesterday
3202 Columbia My Irish Molly Oh minimal spotting only at title end
9835 Edison Summertime
Columbia - Orchestra piece minimal spotting at title end

All play very well, except as noted by the record. The price of the set of
records is* $45.00 *

All items plus shipping to you. No PayPal, but checks are fine. I can ship,
or bring to the Wayne Show.

[Phono-L] ITEMS FOR SALE

2014-02-23 Thread Shawn ORourke
I have two items for sale today.

First, a very respectable Green Oak model A Edison Home Phonograph. This
one is complete and runs well. . It plays well through a 2 minute record.
This one is as found. It will need some elbow grease to clean it up and
adjust it for good playing, but it is all there. The most major objection
on the machine is probably the small dent in the backside of the lid. I
believe this can be pushed out, but that is up to the new owner. It should
make a nice player for someone. It has all of the original parts. It
has the original crank that has a small chunk out of the end. It still
works very well to crank up the machine and cannot be seen when the crank
is installed on the machine. It has a nice model C reproducer that sound
very well. It has the desirable banner decal and the early deep green oak
finish of 1900/ 1901.

The price is $345.00 plus shipping only to you. No PayPal on this. Pictures
available on request.

*Next, * a very respectable copy of an 1898 Berliner Record. 346 - Miserere
from Il Traovatore by F. Jardella. This record plays with some surface
noise, more up front less later. It is free of skips, repeats and cracks.
It plays well from beginning to end. There are two very minor needle digs
that barely sound and play through well. All in all, this is a respectable
example of an early Berliner record.

The price is $85.00 plus shipping only to you. No PayPal on this. Pictures
available on request

Folks,

I have a couple of items for sale if you have interest.  All items plus
shipping to you.

1 - A very nice original Columbia recorder, most likely for a Q or Eagle. It
comes in an original, though worn box. The original diaphragm is present and
intact, though the cutter is missing. It looks like it will clean up nicely
- $55.00

2 - Two very nice reproduction black leather elbows for your early Victor,
Columbia, Zonophone, or Berliner machine. These are nicely made leather
elbows suitable for use on an early front mount machine. $25.00 each.

3 - Original, very rare 15" all-brass seamless horn for an early Edison or
Columbia cylinder phonograph. In excellent original condition. This early
horn is made the same as band instruments of the day. It has a single
"zipper" seem straight up the middle of the horn. These horns are rarely
found.  When seen, they have many times been polished.  This horn retains
its original patina. If has a few dents, but nothing significant.  It is a
wonderful example of a very early and rare horn. $500.00

4 - Edison Blue Amberol  - 5445 - Good News - Fox Trot Dave Kaplan & His
Orchestra.  Excellent condition with no issues and original box. The tune is
snappy and recognizable. It was recorded in 1927, getting close to the end
of the Blue Amberol series which ended in 1929. $150.00

5 - Edison Blue Amberol - 5500- My Blue Ridge Mountain Home - Fox Trot B.A.
Rolfe & His Orchestra. Excellent condition with no issues and original box.
The tune is snappy and recognizable. It was recorded in 1928, getting close
to the end of the Blue Amberol series which ended in 1929. $150.0

6 - A beautiful little Columbia Q cylinder phonograph with an original Q
reproducer and an original 10" cone horn. This is the case less version with
the black stenciled base. The phonograph is in excellent condition
throughout.  The early, black-plated bedplate is clean with only a few areas
of missing paint. The nickel-plated parts are clean as well. .  The original
"Graphophone" stenciling on the bedplate, many times wiped out is nearly
perfect.  This is the nicest "Q" that I've seen in quite a while, the ideal
antique cylinder phonograph to own if space is at a premium. The machine is
in excellent operating condition, too, the motor is strong, and the governor
keeps a steady speed.  It will play an entire cylinder plus with one
winding.  The reproducer is especially nice, playing clear and loud, loud,
loud!!! The cone horn is possibly the best part of this machine. It is truly
stunning.  $550.00

[Phono-L] ITEMS FOR SALE

2012-07-06 Thread Shawn O'Rourke
FOR SALE - Really great all brass c24 inch cylinder horn with a 9 inch
bell. The horn is solid with only minor dings. It is excellent horns to use
on a machine as it is not too big, but not too small either. The nine inch
bell makes this distinctive, and of a very pleasing proportion. Pictures
available upon request It is priced to sell at $150.00, plus shipping to
you

FOR SALE - Are 25 Concert Cylinder pegs for an early concert cylinder
cabinet or carrying case. 18 of these are of recent manufacture and would
need some minor additional shaping/ smoothing to be complete. There are 7
that look very old and appear to be from an original cabinet or carrying
case. I’ve reduced these to “get them gone” pricing. I don't think you
would even be able to buy the wood stock to make these for what I've priced
them. Priced at $35.00, plus actual shipping only. A picture is available
upon request.
FOR SALE - A Hawthorn and Sheble nickel plated crank. These were found on
the early Hawthorn and Sheble under glass cabinets. They could also be
used on other machines. This one is very nice with decent nickle and a
nice handle. Priced at $175.00, plus actual shipping only. A picture is
available upon request.

[Phono-L] Items for Sale

2010-05-31 Thread drlundin

Good Afternoon/Evening,

I'm in the process of organizing some things around the house and I have a few
items for sale. I thought I'd post them here first (before putting on Ebay).

They are:

1.     Edison 2 Min Wax Phonograph Cylinder #9917 "The Trust Question By
William Jennings Bryan"  The surface of the record is shiny but it does have
some light "rusty" spots which does cause some surface noise while playing, but
the record is enjoyable and the  historically significant speech is quite
clear. Comes in a correct 2 minute box with lid. I am unsure of the value so
I'll sell to the best offer.

2.    Edison Model C reproducer. This is a Wyatt's reproduction and is as new.
This is a beautiful and correct reproduction and catalogues for $140. My price
is $100 and I will include shipping in the USA.

3.    Lyric Reproducer: I'm honestly not sure if this was directly off a
dictaphone or regular phonograph. Top says REPRODUCER and the last patent date
says Nov. 13, 1906. It is complete and has stylus, but untested. Please make
offer.

Thanks,
David Lundin

2008-09-15 Thread john robles
Just last week I saw two Columbia DeLuxes at the Solvang Antique Mart in
Solvang CA, which is famous for their ridiculous prices on phonographs and
music boxes. However, people buy there! The prices on the DeLuxes there were
about $15,000 each. They also had a Reginaphone in the Deluxe cabinet, and that
was about $22,000. You can see what I mean about ridiculous. There was also a
nice Victor Monarch M with oak horn for $5700, and a Victrola XI for $2300.
Shocking. THere was once a Victrola VI there for $875. It isn't there any more.
They do sell stuff, to the unwary, I am guessing.

I've had a few RE-57s over the years, in a range of condition. The most
Iever paid for one (and the nicest one I've had) was $85.00, and it had the
mike and recording weight.everything. Now, I have to allow that it was
a good price, even for the AWA meet at Rochester, but I also think that 500
smackers is about 400-450 bucks too much.

If it's the only one you've seen and you need it to keep on breathing,
O.K., but I'd just advise that dealer to take good care of it, 'cause he'e
apt to have it for a long time.

Message-ID: <20060921230031.12195.qm...@web38810.mail.mud.yahoo.com>

Hi All,
I would like to sell my VV-XVI. Mahogany L Door version. Type C, I think.
It's the style with the circular section underneath the turntable. Okay, my
words may not be the best on this but anyone that needs it will know what I
mean.
  Included
Motor - which probably needs cleaning but otherwise, as far as I know, is okay
Reproducer - nice gold plate & ready to go
  Crank
  Needle Cup
  Gold Bullet Style Stop
  Turntable w/o felt
In fact, the wooden motorboard is included.
I'd be happy to include any parts off the machine that could be easily
mailed. You'd have to tell me what to take off though. The entire cabinet
cannot be mailed!
Price is $275 plus shipping. (The leg is broken & I'm not going to be
restoring cabinets anymore. That means I'm selling parts.)

Message-ID: <1d1.2032b7bb.2dcba...@aol.com>

Although hoping for more responses, I promised to share the results of the
Edison "A/B-80" survey within a couple of weeks. For what it's worth, here
they
are:

Edison "A-80"
Serial numbers believed to start at "0" (late 1912) with wooden grilles.
Documented numbers from #2872 - #4219
(#4219 has metal grille, as shown on page 42 of Frow's "Edison Disc
Phonographs." Machine pictured was completed December 19, 1914.)

Edison "B-80"
Serial numbers began between #4219 and #6175 (late Dec.1914/Jan.1915).
Documented numbers from #6175 - #16824.
(All "B-80s" documented in this survey have wooden grilles.)

That's it. If you have one of these models that varies from the number
ranges or grille descriptions, please share it and we'll revise this little
chart.
Thanks again to all who contributed information!

Hello all,

I have the opportunity to purchase two Columbia AJ machines. One is the
early top crank and the other is the middle rear crank.

The tonearm AND support arm are reproductions... the aluminum ones, on both
of the machines. And the middle version machine with rear wind has a
reproduction reproducer.

Horns on both are original B&B.

Anyone have ideas of a good price for them individually or together.

Thanks,
Vince
