See my post on the Announce:AlienBBC 1.05 thread for details of how to
find the Unix executable mplayer inside the MPlayer OSX application

Hi guys,
I installed the latest LastFM and Slimscrobbler v0.34 plugins and if I
submit a station from Last.fm I can get it to play from the squeezebox,
but I can not specify a station from the server interface. My personal
radio, loved tracks and everything else plays fine, but how can I enter
a
artist/artist/similarartists
should work.
I don't know if it's applicable for *every* lastFM artist though.

The new softsqueeze is buggy on the basement Piii xp so I'm trying
squeezeslave but no joy.
Is there any documentation at all? All I've seen is a few odd
referrences in the forums.
Mine won't connect whereas softsqueeze had no problem. The server is
on a different network eg.192.168.20.101 on
No, the Scrobbler plugin is not actually required for LastFM playback.
I just had a look at it and perhaps it's a bit confusing.
Firstly, you do have the right player selected in the web interface, ie.
the SlimServer LastFM page displays track details etc. when you're
playing LastFM?

What's new ? Well, fun stuff really.. I've been looking into different

with the new Cover Chooser window. It sorts and

Well that's the output message I get... right up there copied
straight from the command line. As I say, softsqueeze connects fine
across the segments. But it was locking up, playing all hiss, and
stuttering alot. I
Thanks Michael.

I'm not clear on what behavior of Softsqueeze you're having trouble

again. You have full control via the web
I finally upgraded to the new mplayer, put it in /usr/local/bin
(replacing my earlier version). However, now mplayer wont launch at

working?
(I correctly commented and uncommented mplayer.sh)

I wrote a small bit of perl to load the web page html for each entry and
then pull the data from it. However each web site is different so it
not generic but it means if new podcast are added, it is quick to
update.
I'll have a look at the espn one to see if something similar can be
done.

Unlike the Windows and Linux MPlayer - the OSX Mplayer has a GUI
interface and the Mplayer you need is buried on that distribution.
Danco posted some help how to get the Mplayer you need. I quote from
his post when dealing with the MplayerOSX dmg file .
As I remarked earlier, the actual
