Thanks for the suggestion. The display changes from 'Stopped' to 'Now
Playing' but
I've been running Slimserver on a Windows server for sometime now. I'm
sure it will come as no surprise to many that my biggest issue is lack
of reliability.
Then I found out about SlimCD and thought it was a brilliant idea. I
originally wanted to run Linux, partly for cost, partly for improved

Is it possible to have the time displayed in the 24 hour format?
Currently the date runs off the end of the display. If I could select
24 hour it would get rid of the AM or PM from the diplay and allow the
date to be shown.

Not sure if this is the same issue, but try hitting Pause/Unpause on the
remote after starting the XM stream. Seems to be a bug, but this gets
the XM plugin working when I'm using it.

Oops, you're right of course. That had been fixed in a slightly later

I've just uploaded V1.1 of MC2SLim to www.duff-zapp.co.uk
New in V1.1 are
A rolling 11 song playlist similar to Random Mix
Support for Linux style file paths
Support for Slimserver V7.0
And general optimisations and streamling (sounds good eh? )
V1.1 should fix any problems reported with V1.0

Yes, that indicates it failed to load. The error I'd be interested in

You should still be able to rate tracks in the iTunes Update menu & from

I will investigate further next week...

That's a real shame - I'll be lost without my two way rating

Works great for me. I didn't realize how much I missed this feature
until I no longer had it. Thanks, James.

Sorry for delayed reply - partner's daughter's wedding supervened...
Album art seems fine now - I'd changed the server setting to reflect

I have another query but new thread for that I guess.
Thanks.

Thanks for the report. If you could set the following two they might
help us to understand what's going on at the point of failure:
--d_plugins --d_server
I'd also be keen to know what error prevented
Yes, it should be very easy.
We just need to add a per-player setup section, which is easily cribbed
from another plugin that does the same.
I'd suggest a drop down of available user accounts (+ 'Default') from
which to select the active user.
Plus an on/off setting.

Hi
I'm running 6.5b3 from a couple of nights ago... yesterday set up the
server to do a scheduled scan at 02:00. Checked in this morning and
found that slimserver had stopped.
The Windows event log has the following message timed at 02:01...

Thanks James, I'm in the very early stages of learning Perl, so maybe
this would be a good project to play around with (assuming you mean it
when you say fairly easy)... ;-)

This is because the favourites 'plugin' is no longer a plugin in 6.5
onwards and steals the key mappings before iTunesUpdate can take them.
Not really sure what to do about this - I think the only answer will be
a custom remote map which is very messy in my experience.
I *think* the key mapping wi
I tried running the alpha of SlimServer 7 with James's iTunes Update
plugin and it seem the behaviour has changed.
When holding down a key for a rating the SqueezeBox displays the
message "Favourite #3 not defined" rather than setting the iTunes
rating.
I reverted to 6.5b3 and it works as expect

There's no way at present, although it could probably be added to player
settings fairly easily.
