is there any easy way to stream the AAC live radio feed into

Nope. This is bleeding edge stuff, hence I posted to see if the crew
who did AlienBBC could make the last jump from mplayer into

What is the advantages of using the AAC stream vs WMA ?
The AAC stream would requires SC to transcode vs a WMA stream which can
be played natively and so no need for transcoding (i.e. use SN or a
small NAS)
AAC listen again using flvstream would have no FFW / REW so why is it
better than MP3 ?

Sorry, it just won't work sans sudo. But some cursory googling seems to

I've also once seen a Scandinavian language show up randomly for some
options on SN. It happened a few months ago, but as I rarely use SN I've
not seen it since.

May I suggest a nice plugin? DonĀ“t know where to do it otherwise...
A plugin showing status of your current downloads running on a
bittorrent client on the same NAS hosting your squeezecenter.

You should see a new player called Squeezeslave. Try playing your flac

My understanding (as indicated by various websites) is that the UK
bitrate for WMA streams are now the same as the Flash/AAC and Flash/MP3
streams. I can't access these streams so I would expect a user to test
and confirm/refute this as this was a recent change.

The issue is whether there is discernible quality difference between
for example, Radio3 WMA at 192kbit/sec and AAC at 192kbit/sec
Radio 3 is streamed at 128kbit WMA, at least now from a clean feed. The
iPlayer feeds are 192kbit AAC, that's a world of difference!
