Thanks for that. Got the acronyms but still no wiser. Have I any control over what CDN is used for instance? Have spent the evening trying lots of programmes through iPlayer and Extras with different router channels or auto. Long chunk fetch times occur with surprising consistency every 5 to 8

You have abysmal service from BBC CDN. Each chunk is about 6 secs long so you should nto have delays more than 500msec very often to ensure smooth playing. I typically I get a long delay > 1sec 2-3 times per day (usually at busy periods) and on occassions > 15secs . I have never seen 51sec

To be sure I've just tested tested the DASH plugins with LMS 7.5.5 on W7 with a SBReceiver player. DASH plays works OK with no errors when rthere are no network delays from BBC servers. I got one burst the "select" error message otherwise it only occurs once when changing program while a
