Right oh I see that your ISP is Plusnet, so that means you are in the UK. Talk to Plusnet about the Router, you should get a replacement if it is faulty. Also seperate the two bands, and give them a separate SSID and password

Can see the config settings now after restarting the router (do not use Plusnet as your isp - they have an issue they themselves caused with the HUB One router which drops out a lot). I’ve set the WiFi on & saved but no details emerge of the wireless dongle.

Ok: so I’ve connected the RasPi with Ethernet to the Mac. Plugged in the wireless dongle. Powered up the RasPi. Then I used IP Scanner to get the IP of the RasPi - IP Scanner has a shortcut button to open any device in a browser window so I did that and it times out after searching the IP
