Thank you for providing a very useful tool. I have been looking for a
way to use exported ratings in a Windows tagging program like MP3Tag or
Mediamonkey for a long time. The exported text files, however, have UNIX
paths which these programs cannot handle. Playlists saved from LMS

Thanks. I do use Sugarcube. Looking to create some MIP filters based on
extended tag fields.
I just discovered from this old post in MP3Tag forums that it is
possible to add to the inbuilt tags in MusicIP.
https://community.mp3tag.de/t/how-to-get-bpm-tory-tlan-into-musicip-mixer-using-mp3tag/7314
It would be very helpful to use tags like MOOD and OCCASION to create
some filters in MIP.
After experimenting for many weeks, this is how I tweak Sugarcube. Hope
it saves someone some effort.
-Trackstat plugin for play counts and dynamic ratings
-Custom Scan plugin for MusicIP export. This is not needed by sugarcube
but helps make static playlists, for whatever purpose, using MusicIP

iPeng player on an iPhone 12 stutters a lot or sometimes suddenly kills
playback with a loud sound in a moving car while fully connected to a 5G
or LTE network. I connect through a self hosted split tunnel OpenVPN
connection. It seems to work fine even over a weak connection in one
spot. Bitrate

Thank you very much for making things a bit clearer. I cant wait to use
this tool to rediscover neglected tracks.
Another frustration is the inability to pass filters generated on a
windows machine to headless MIP and LMS running on docker/Synolgy NAS. I
have googled the subject extensively,

After investing a lot of effort over many days, I have a large library
fingerprinted, a headless musicIP & LMS working on a Docker/Synolgy NAS
and love how musicIP comes up with an amazing sequence. Sugarcube
succeeds in taking it a step further but has been very- frustrating in
consistency-.

Trying the Docker version now using Perl 5.24.0-0074 and Logitech Media
Server Version: 8.1.2. Most of Erland's plugins were missing after
adding the correct repository. Downloaded them from
http://downloads.isaksson.info. Tinkered around and discovered that if I
make a directory called Plugins
Thank you. I'll probably do that in the second round. Since its my first
NAS, I'm sure very soon I'll set it up again from scratch after learning
about various pitfalls. There are many other background tasks I need to
direct away from a PC to this little device. Each is going to be a mini
I was able to find x86_64 versions for Perl 5.24.0-0074 and LMS
7.7.6-116. Installed successfully without any container but not tested
on players yet. File copying will need some time! Auto update of
packages is disabled.
I hope this approach doesn't create some other problem.
Thank you so much. New things to learn.

Is it possible to install any version of LMS on a new Synology DS220+
running DSM 6.2.4-25556?
I understand there is no longer an official package from Synology. I
can't find a package that can be installed using workarounds either.
Have only used PC's for LMS so far with no experience of

Where are you trying to show the artists?
On NowPlaying, that doesn't work. It's an old issue but I'd have to give
up compatibility with old server versions to do this.
In the track list, iPeng should show all artists, at least it does so
for me (Logitech's App shows none).
My first day with iPeng. Is there any way to display multiple artists,
which show fine in Squeezebox controllers and the free Logitech app?
My chief interest is to see if this app helps take advantage of
obsessive tagging in navigation more smoothly than the standard free
app. So far it takes me
