I just installed the latest version of spotty (2.8.1) and it no longer
works. The previous version did work. This is what I found in the
settings:
Operating system: Debian / armv7l-linux
Helper Applications Folder:

When using the direct OGG stream lately I have experienced that songs
stops, players freeze or reboots themselfs.
I have a combinations of SB3, receivers and touch. This happens as
players played alone or using Group players.
When changing back to deciding to pcm all players becomes rock solid

I've tried to take a capture of frames exchanged with iPeng. You surely

iPeng is not SqueezeLite, its an own implementation of the SlimProto
protocol, SqueezeLite is GPL and contains a lot of GPL libraries, using
that on the AppStore would violate all these licenses.

What I mean is that all I get is skip frames (empty frames with a type
of 0x400, meaning they are supposed to be skipped by the codec).
Thats all.
Even the initial header (which usually consists of three packets for
Ogg) is incomplete, only the first packet arrives, then the empty
frames.

The problem is not the codec.
Somehow the stream starts paused. It sends a starting header but then
only empty frames.
If I move the position within the stream (you can reproduce this with
the time slider) the plugin starts to send actual music and iPeng plays
it.
