just to let you know what happened, i got the duet, and the slimserver
works very well on the synology NAS
it's a bit slow in the web interface, but with the remote is great, and
synology now have a package for this that is s easy to install...
it is about 1 or 2 minor versions behind the

I couldn't agree with you more. This is why we built the VortexBox
appliance to save people time getting a NAS working. The VortexBox
appliance is a prebuilt Linux server, quiet, low cost, draws 24 watts
when fully running. Oh and it auto rips CDs to the disk as well.
