Echo dot and Chromecast.
Tried with a Chromecast Audio, and it worked perfectly fine.
Unfortunately I don't have any decent (recent) Android device. Must ask
an office buddy if he could lend me his...

What other (non-Spotty) Connect endpoints are you using?

I'd just like to add that the Spotify Windows desktop app works fine,
switching back and forth between "This Computer" to a "Boom" or a
"squeezelite player on a pi" without any problem.

Yes, crashed a couple of times just after install, I've just left it
