Yup, no doubt I was just hoping that someone had tracked down a
similar static weekly URL for the iPlayer content...

One line of enquiry which I never fully explored was the fact that
program brands have a fixed code - Composer of the week is b006tnxf .
This code can be used to get info iniCal format such as

You should already be able to add a brand/series menu to your favorites
by clicking the heart icon in web interface on the relavent menu. This
is intended to store the relavent information to always build the latest
menu for that brand/series. I think you can then add this to the alarm
I'd expect that debug if you are trying to play stale information - are

Yes.
As I said, iPlayer v0.9a works fine on one PC but not the other.
I even copied over all the SqueezeCenter program application files to
try to make sure the set-ups were
Error messages about socketwrapper are definately relavent - it won't
work without this working (the debug above may therefore not be
relavent). Is socketwrapper allowed to access the internet by your
firewall software?
I would try proving that you can plan an aac stream on that pc - prove
that
The Favorite idea doesn't work - it generates a Favorite with an URL
such as
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/availability/bbc_london.xml?Danny%20Baker
but the response does not play as a Favorite or even have only Danny
Baker. It looks like the full BBC London schedule.

No, it won't play that either although it's showing as Now Playing.

It needs to store a parser too with a filter:X=Y param - did you get
that?

Ok - the problem is that the default skin is using javascript to do this
and it bypasses setting the parser...
Try setting a favorite using the classic skin and it should work..
However this is going to produce an xmlbrowser list which is not the
same as something which is direcly playable -

Aside the NEC-flavours I also realized, that the applet is not running

Hi Pippin
do you have any revised timescale for 1.2? Your roadmap shows it was
due last week! I'm asking as I am running 7.4 on my WHS and so I am
looking forward to the 7.4 support. At the moment I can't use iPeng and
I've got withdrawl symptoms!
Cheers

Yes, when I used the ID3v2.3 format, everything was oke (with all my

A little wile ago I changed all the tag formats in ID3v2.4.
When I was testing the custom scan, nothing was scanned.

Gordon,
No, I'm not only trying to avoid the thread to fade to page 2 ;) I was

Here is my question: when the server wakes-up, can you identify a

NEW VERSION!!!
RC3 is now available from the link in the first post of this thread.
Only a few changes, namely:
- Fixed bug where an error was logged at startup (didn't affect
operation though).
- KEY_BACK is now usable.
- NEC Protocol renamed to NECx.
- New Protocol!! NEC:ddd:sss:ccc. Depending
I'm seeing the same issue as knigma - I'm running SC 7.3.3 on a
Sheevaplug under Ubuntu 9.04 with a local build of standard faad and
standard flac, so obviously I need the patches to make that method
work.
However, I'd rather not have the plug do transcoding as it's not that
powerful (no FPU) -
I think if you are using latest version (0.9a) and you disable AAC
playing in Settings/Filetypes - then the plugin will play the MP3
streams if they are available. MP3 streams are only available in the
UK.

Used the new applet, changed config to use NEC ... and ... it's working

I now took some time to make the applet 7.4-compatible (while still
supporting 7.3).
Changes are done on your latest RC3 version.
Some details so you can easier spot the changes:
- strings.txt: added german.
Thanks, that will prove useful for the development of SqueezeIR TNG :)

OK...manually installed the 5.8.8 plug-in on my Mac running 7.3.4. I get
a compatibility error and it doesn't load. Hopefully you'll be able to
get it fixed one of these days. We miss seeing the time and temp on the

Thanks!
