Try changing the Custom Browse menu configuration so you write
COMPOSERSORT instead of Composersort in the sorting tag name.
If this doesn't help, install Database Query plugin and run the Custom
Scan Statistics query and post the result, it should list exactly which
tags are stored in the Custom Scan database tables.

Don't you get more rows in the report ?
If Custom Scan has been used you should get rows like:
Number of songs with attributes from customtag 2474
Number of songs with attributes from mixedtag 3495
And rows like:
Number of songs with customtag attributes of type MOOD 1948
Number of songs with customtag attributes of type PERFORMER 34
Number of songs with customtag attributes of type STYLE 2407
Number of songs with mixedtag attributes of type ALBUM 3495
Number of songs with mixedtag attributes of type ALBUMARTIST3206
Number of songs with mixedtag attributes of type ARTIST 3495
The numbers indicates number of songs which are available in the Custom
Scan database tables. You will of course have different tags than what
I'm having in my setup. It looked like you maybe only posted the upper
part of the report from Database Query ?
Exactly which versions of Custom Scan and Custom Browse are you using ?

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Performance problem with Custom Browse
I have setup a menu to browse music by composers using MultiLibrary and Custom Browse. When I browse for example Bach I see all albums composed by Bach. When I click an album from the web-interface, I see a list of the tracks. This has worked fine for me in the past, but now when I click on an album CPU goes 100% and stays there for about 60 seconds. This causes playback to stop. After another 20-30 seconds playback resumes and everything returns to normal. This means that I cannot use Custom browse the way I used to. My system runs Ubuntu 10.10 on an Atom D510 (dual core) processor which is usually more than adequate for running SBS. The server.log does not have any entries related to the action of clicking the album. Some things have changed since I last checked this functionality: 1. Increase in size of music library (classical tracks: 27k, pop 16k) 2. Server version 7.6.2 - r33212 (same issue with 7.6.1) - but perhaps not in 7.5.3-4 3. Trackstat is installed 4- Possibly other plugins installed This could be a bug, but I suspect it is just due to an unfortunate configuration of the library, which does not work well with the server. I have no idea of figuring out how to fix this. I would be happy to supply any info that might help. I really like the combination of MultiLibrary and Custom Browse so I'd be grateful if I could get back to normal. Strange, that's all there was as far as I can see! Custom Browse 2.12.3560 Custom Scan 2.8.3551 I assume these are the latest since they load automatically. I've just been trying to do a rescan in the Custom Scan plugin settings. It just seems to hang there and never finish. If I go to an artist in the artist list who has also tracks on a VA album and select add to playlist in the album context menu for that VA album, all tracks on the VA album are added not just the tracks where the selected artist is the artist. I think it's caused by a bug I accidentally introduced in one of the
latest Custom Scan versions, it should hopefully be fixed in the
2.8.3563 version of Custom Scan which I just released. Let me know if
this new version doesn't solve your issues.

I'm fairly sure these kind of issues are caused by the SQLite database
which is used in 7.6, I probably have to go through the indexes and
make sure they are optimal also for SQLite.
Can you post the *.cb.values.xml file which represent your Custom
Browse menu that's slow ?
It's stored in the Browse configuration directory directory specified
in the Custom Browse settings page.
Do you know if Custom Scan plugin is involved or is this a browse menu
only using the standard SBS tables ?

Hi, My wife got a new Android phone. We downloaded the Logitech official remote controller. As there are several other remotes available, I wonder if anyone has made comparisons between the different alternatives, and could list Advantages (features/benefits)/Disadvantages of the various remote contollers in Android? I would recommend trying out SqueezeCommander. I only briefly tried Logitech's plugin, but I found SC to be better in almost all aspects. Actually, it is the app I use most for my phone now... Disadvantage: Not free but cheap. As long as they have the same License Manager account identity it's
enough if you pay once. The account identity is generated based on your
mysqueezebox.com username, so what it really means is that as long as
that's the mysqueezebox.com is same in all instances, it's enough to
pay once.

I enjoy SqueezeCommander more than the Logitech App. I have one of those devices, where scrolling didn't work at all in the Logitech App and with the current beta version it improved but still feels slow compared to SqueezeCommander. Sometimes it's the simple things that give the most joy: for instance when it comes to browsing speed you cannot beat SqueezeCommander. On the one hand this is because of SqueezeCommander caching lists, but it also has a index bar where you can scroll down ultra fast. Then SqueezeCommander also has a little popup when changing the volume, showing you the current value. Again - very small feature, but proved to be priceless for me as I just know the three most important volume values so don't have to fiddle that much until I have setup my Squeezebox volume in the morning or evening. This little index bar and volume popup alone are worth the 3,50#8364; (including VAT) for me, I actually don't even use more features than browsing, selecting the player and changing volume. Of course SqueezeCommander has many more advanced features (for instance being able to connect from the internet - making it the best choice together with SqueezePlayer, when you want to stream your music to your Android phone). -- bluegaspode Did you know: *'SqueezePlayer' (www.squeezeplayer.com)* will stream all your music to your Android device. very, very hard, unfortunately. I believe the closes thing to getting it would be to use the global search and drill down. There simply is nothing suitable for that search in the API and building up that search scheme out of standard API calls could probably bring down the whole server. Could you try if the Custom Scan 2.8.3569 version I just released solves

I'm not sure it does but the previous version used an index that wasn't
optimal when accessing the Various Settings page to be able to list
