Can't help unless you answer my questions of my previous post. The problem is invariably die to the audio setup of your system and not LMS or the plugin as they are in use by many users. Are you using Pulse audio ? If so have you added the user id which is running LMS to the appropriate user

For information, pulseaudio is one of the possible underlying audio system on Ubuntu. The other main one is Alsa. ecasound plays audio through a device name such as hw:1,0 which is an Alsa name but if you are using Pulse audio Alsa is emulated and so there are complications. In your case, you

What command lines are you using to run Shairplay ? What is in the WaveInput plugin custom-convert.conf file you are using ? Have you proven that shairplay is playing OK by playing the loopback device to normal audio ?

You don't have SugarCube installed and active, do you ? That could cause other tracks to be inserted. If that's not it, could you post the file which the playlist is saved to ? Should be a *.sql.values.xml or *.sql.xml file stored in the directory configured in the SQL Playlist settings page.
