Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
Before your response I tried installing LMS on another machine (Windows 7). That new instance of LMS recognized the squeeze-lite RPI but not the Squeezebox Receiver. It had a blue LED. I then saw your suggestion about uninstalling the helper plugin on my NAS. I uninstalled the helper, stopped the new LMS instance and restarted the NAS LMS. The Squeezebox Receiver was happy again (white led) and it hasn't had any Spotify audio issues for about 30 minutes. It might be a coincidence but this is the longest it's played without losing connection in a while. pmendiuk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62342 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110455 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
I submitted Version 2.3.1 to the Microsoft Store Changes: - New version of Chromium Embedded Framework. Lots of API changes in this version of CEF. Also it does not allows cookies to be on disk while cache is in memory, so the the browser cache is back on disk. SLX deletes the cache and keeps the cookies on startup, so it will operate same as before, but the cache is on local disk instead of in memory. My rationale for deleting the cache on start up that (1) there is no performance hit that I can measure, (2) simplicity, don't have to have GUI to manually clear the cache, (3) clearing cache is necessary after manually updating Material Skin, which I do alot. - - Shutdown sequence tweaks. CEF sometimes has issues shutting down and can (infrequently) crash on shutdown. I don't think anyone notices because the app does shut down so all seems normal. I made a tweak to a CEF shutdown settings that may (I hope) improves the issue. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)
The plugin suddenly didn't work for me anymore, on a relatively recent debian install, as I would suddenly get a forbidden 403 error from youtube for no apparent reason. First I just created new credentials, which didn't help. So I deleted the project created for this plugin on console.developers.google.com and started from the beginning again as described in the first post of this thread. That solved the issue and the plugin works again. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
I run now a script which checks via Spotify API the available devices (GET https://api.spotify.com/v1/me/player/devices). The script runs every minute and kills the LMS spotty deamon process if the device is no longer available in SC. That's pretty much what Spotty does - with the correct option enabled. Unfortunately this currently isn't available unless local announcements are disabled. I'll change that for the next release. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
I come back again with the issue where the LMS player in no longer conencted with the Spotify Connect API. I run now a script which checks via Spotify API the available devices (GET https://api.spotify.com/v1/me/player/devices). The script runs every minute and kills the LMS spotty deamon process if the device is no longer available in SC. LMS Spotty itself has a check every minute which starts the deamon again if the process is missing. That way, the LMS device (in my case a group player which contains 2 real players, 1x SB Touch & 1x Squeezebox Radio) will be available again in SC. With this "workaround", I can control the LMS player via the SC API. LMS Spotty never restarts the process itself if the player is not available in SC. I run the same script for one day without the process kill routine and the player disappears in SC after a few hours. And there was no action from Spotty side. It looks to me as Spotty does not check the SC API if the players are available there. Here is the log output from my script: 27547 +---+ |Filename: spotty.zip | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=27547| +---+ CentOS7 (x86_64-linux), SqueezebosServer 7.9.2 - usually the latest nightly build Squeezebox Touch 3x Squeezebox Radio 1x Squeezebox Boom 1x group player (contains SB Radio & SB Touch) pilot000's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8315 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110455 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
