But another weird issue : The Informations tab mentions that the Plugins directory is : /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Plugins But when I go to /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/ , there is no Plugins directory available ! Create it if it isn't there. The LMS managed plugins are stored elsewhere where you should NOT touch anything. I'm not aware of this being reported before. Can you provide some
additional detail? What version are you running? Is the Netgear hosting
LMS? You are saying SLX hangs ("Not Responding")? Do you have to shut
it down using Task Manager? Can you enable log file (Ctrl-Shift-D) and
see what it says when this occurs? Which Skin are you using? I'm
wondering if LMS is taking a long time to respond while it waits for its
drives to spin up and that may be causing an issue. Not sure what is
going on here.

There are different steps to use a plugin. 1) installing the plugin 2) making the plugin active, ie loading it 3) configuring the plugin. 2 basically is 1. Or they're the same. What LMS version are you using? Older versions had some issues installing larger plugins. Eg. don't immediately restart LMS when you're prompted. But leave it alone for another minute: it might still be downloading. Hi Craig I wonder if you would consider the following request: The Now Playing screen displays the Track name in bold, followed by the Artist(s) and then the Album. Would it be possible to have the Album following the Track (this would be super useful in the case of some pieces of classical music) and for good measure have the Album displayed in the selected colour - this would differentiate it nicely from the Artist. But I have seen a number of threads recently that discuss the impact of stations moving to https:// URLs, which I think mysqueezebox.com can't handle. Well, I thought I was explicite, but I'll try one more time. There are different steps to use a plugin. 1) installing the plugin 2) making the plugin active, ie loading it 3) configuring the plugin. The issue is at the step 2) After step 1), the plugin is not anymore in the "Michael's Slim Stuff" section, but in sort of "plugin available" section (my interface is in french, so I guess the translation of this section's name sounds like this). But not in the "Active plugins" section. We have to check the box to make the plugin active. So I check the box, and confirm by clicking "Apply" at the bootom of the page. At this time I have a popup that says that the serveur must be reloaded, so I agree and click "restart now". I reload the page after 1 minute or so, to be sure that the server is restarted... but the spotty plugins is still in the "plugin available" section, and unchecked. Which log should I look at ? There is a separate activation step for Spotty (unlike most plugins) because it needs to be connected to your Spotify account, but that is not done in the general plugins page (it's done in the "Advanced" page for the specific plugin) and it doesn't involve a check box. Maybe it's a browser issue? You could try a different browser, it all works for me with Chrome on MacOS. In Server Settings, click Basic Settings (there's a downward pointing arrowhead). You should get a drop down menu, in the Plugins section there's an item, Plugins, which gives you access to Plugin management. Not sure if this issue has been reported already... The Win10 app hangs if the NAS drives aren't already spinning. Netgear RN314. I can close and reopen the app multiple times, makes no difference. If I map to the drive and open the music folders, which causes the drives to spinup, and go back to the "running" app it still in a hung state. But, if I close and open it runs fine. Thanks! I should have been clearer. I've generated the necessary files and can see the devices listed at the foot of the plugins (as expected). The issue is that I can't find where to look to see these devices as players. Nothing showing ANYWHERE as far as I can see. I think I need to be told where, specifically, where to look. Ooo err! Don't have any Apple devices but a number of chromecast around the house so let's start there. Hi, I've recently started using Squeezelite-X and LMS as a really effective solution to multi-room synchronised and gapless audio USB DACs, which just never worked properly with JRiver. It's a great setup and I'm really pleased with the result. I only wish I had given up trying to get JRiver to do this years ago. I had the same issue as you (needed to delay startup of Squeezelite-X to give LMS chance to start) and worked out the command to start the Windows Store app via Task Scheduler: explorer.exe shell:appsFolder\16237RGregDawson.Squeezelite-X_qhedj8x0bjmhg!SqueezeliteX I hope this helps. I am using the current Samsung Galaxy S6 Tab with Android 10. When I use SC and scroll down the cover list or look at the playlist or other activities, than after a while SC looses the network connection (message: error fetching covers - network error - reconnect), but my WLAN connection is stable and I have full connection to the internet, to the LMS via firefox and other services. I have to end the app and wait one or two minutes, restart the app and everything works fine. After a while the same error occurs. This is a new behaviour for me and occurs since I am using Android 10 with the Galaxy. Before I had a Galaxy S2 with Android 7 and this worked. Are there any experiences with this behaviour? I first just installed the spotty plugin, but the result was the same : the plugin cannot be activated. As my CPU is a x64 Intel, I thought I should add the arch 64, but this may be not required. Once the plugin is installed, it not activated by default. So I have to activate it. So I check the plugin Spotty. But once it is checked, it asks to restart LMS. The very first post in this thread gives a long list of the kinds of commands possible. MediaServer also allows you to play -any -audio sourced from LMS on Echo sink devices (currently, this is always transcoded to MP3). So it addresses both of the goals you mentioned (by the way, the Echo's mic and BT quality are totally irrelevant here). If what you mainly want to do is control Spotify by voice, there already is a Spotify skill for that. A squeezebox connected to LMS can fulfill the role of a -Spotify Connect- device so if that's how you want to set things up then the Spotify skill is a better bet. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Bridges Query
Hi Guys I fear that this lockdown is turning my brain to mush as I've got a very basic question about the 3 'Bridge' plugins - and I know I should be able to answer this question myself! Where's that 'embarrassed' emoji??) Long-story-short: I've had to reinstall everything after my Windows 10 PC crashed with a corrupted hard disk. Pleased to say that everything is back, working, and pretty-much 99.9% of LMS is 'as it was' (I think!) My question is about the 3rd-party plugins. UPnP Bridge, CastBridge and AirBridge "How do I know if these are working?" I thought I'd read the devices that are found are 'seen' as extra (Squeezelite) players "But where do I find these?" I can't see them if I go into LMS web interface and look at my list of players - it just shows my Logitech radios (as expected) and I can only see *some* of them elsewhere (see below) Here's what I've worked out... - In each of the plugins (on their respective plugins page) in LMS I can see the devices on my network that the plugins have found and their mac address etc etc. In my case, it's my Yamaha Amp and 2x Sky boxes - I can also see that each plugin is being let through my firewall But... in the case of the CastBridge, I can't see it anywhere on my setup - not on the TV when I'm running the Chromecast dongle, whereas I can see AirPlay on my phone and play my music from LMS (so I guess the AirBridge plugin is behaving as expected) and I can see the LMS icon on my Samsung TV (again, so I've concluded that the UPnP bridge is OK). So, I'm assuming it's the *Chromecast dongle* that the CastBridge plugin interacts with?? So, the bit that's been driving me mad is: 1. Am I right in thinking I should see my devices (Yamaha amp and Sky Boxes) as 'players'? somewhere If so, where? 2. Where do I go (at a device level) to see that the CastBridge plugin is functioning?
