I somehow managed to get the find the XM plugin option and select it
(although that item has now disappeared in the list). I've restarted my
Squeezebox device, and now have XM radio in the list. When I try to play
the radio, I get a message that my email and password are not set.

The plugin instructions didn't make any mention of needing to register

Yes on all counts. That's what's so confusing to me.
It would help if I knew how it worked. How does SBS having my account
login info enable it to get access to the XM *music* (as opposed to
just my account information)? I mean...each XM radio has it's own
unique ID subscription and XM knows

It's a 3rd Party plugin. works nicely (I'm on official release 7.5.1 of
SbS on Windows XP and Windows 7), but you do need to be running your
own instance of SbS (rather than just using mysb.com).
Go to SBS on your web browser, bottom right select SETTINGS then
PLUGINS tab.
Check the box for

I do have SBS running on the little netbook I bought to act as my media
server but my list of 3rd party plugins is very short. I do have the
see pic. I have maybe 50 or 60 plugins listed on my page. The pic is
just the bottom of screen (that is probably 4 or 5 screens of info).
Make sure you click the carrot that expands the listing of 3rd party
plugins, otherwise you just see the title, not the plugins.

I keep reading there's a plugin so I can receive XM radio via SB but
there's nothing on the Plugin list. Do I have to jump through lots of
hoops to install enable this?

I've found that you don't want to log in with the plugin. It will cause
the SB to hang. If it does you need to unplug the power and only use
favorites or type in the url to get on. Weird that it just started
dong this. I had to use the plugin to log off so that it would work
right.

XM plugins available and the 2.0 version is the only one that works

I was able to get the XM plugin to show up on the plugin list on the new
SqueezeNetwork software, but received a message that it needs to be
updated. There is no update! I'm very unhappy with SqueezeNetwork
since XM Radio was the main reason I bought the Squeezebox. There

I had the same problem. You have to edit the install.xml file and change
maxVersion to 7.1+.

so it sounds like what ever you're opening it with isn't doing it right

Hi everyone, I looked around for a while and I couldn't find an answer
to this one...
I installed the XM plugin - I must say it took me a while to get it to
save for some reason. I just had my laptop stolen, had to buy a new
one, and now I'm pumping Vista (grrr).
In the Internet Radio
The plugin works in Linux. But in OS X, I always get an Unknown error
when the plugin tries to log into XM. Any suggestions?
Nothing is in the logs with plugins and server in debug mode.

Following with interest the threads on the XM Radio plugin as I'm a new
subscriber to XM. Configured OK and stations display after login but no
audio. After testing another WMA radio stream, it seems that I can't get
WMA to stream, don't know why.
