in the UK?
Thanks

Are you in the UK or out side the UK ?
Aah...gotcha.
Squeezebox 2, Squeezebox 1, SoftSqueeze and Squeezeplayer all exhibited same
symptoms...

There is something weird going on with BBC (especially Radio 4) and
Squeezeboxes. I can get all Radio 4 sources working through SoftSqueeze and
Squeezeplay, but (as of this morning) NO Radio 4 from any source on my
Squeezeboxes.
Either 500 Internal Error (which I don't get from Squeezeplay), or
It's a bit more complicated than I thought - some songs won't even play
audibly with JLayer selected - which is weird as all songs were ripped in an
identical format by iTunes.

I think it's the same problem - already recognised in this bug report:
As of about 3:15pm on Thursday all AlienBBC choices are showing 'empty
playlist' - has the BBC changed its folder/naming conventions or is it my
system?

Here is the stream it's trying to open for Radio 1 for example:

OK thanks; you're going to have to remind me how to generate that log I'm
afraid. I'll try it with 7.0 first as it has fixed so many Various Artist
problems for me

Well; I found that 7 had solved some issues, but created others - so I went
all the way back to the 6.5 release - and now AlienBBC is working again.
Obviously 7 isn't ready for AlienBBC yet! And since I use it every day, I've
decided to stick with 6.5 until 7 is released.
But thank for your
I have the same; are we alone?
I have WinXP latest nightlies (as at 31 / 12 / 2007)...

I'm still having problems with this. I now have a TS-109 which is

I'm on SS 6.5.5. Where is the more recent update of SoftSqueeze available?
Why is it not the one bundled with the nightlies?
I've just moved back to JLayer audio and it seems more reliable - weird!

Any ideas?

I was following some advice that solved another user's 'missing songs on
rescan' issue that involved uninstalling SlimServer completely and then
reinstalling the latest nightly.
It didn't solve my missing song problem, but it completely fixed Alien BBC
that now works perfectly!
It might be
I tried that - nothing happened and no output.

If you are still having trouble with garbled output please could you try
running mplayer
Again, nothing - the line is too long for the command Window!

Neil,
Would you re-run the command with adding -verbose 1 between mplayer
and -vo. Then copy the output from the screen and post to this forum
preferably
Can I ask how you fixed the Radio 4 garbled after several minutes problem?

Just wanted to say that although it took me 2 months to get Alien BBC
working; I was at a friend's this weekend who has a SqueezeBox 3 and wanted
to try it. I only had an hour, and he only has a very thin Internet
connection (Wireless via a friend's WAP two doors away), but I said I'd give
it
That's easy - it was all straight off this page...
