Kurt, First, I'm sorry for the problems you are having. You could boot up with a Live CD of Ubuntu (or other Linux distribution) and then see if Ubuntu could access your HD and then copy the files to a USB Key, or to an FTP site. If you don't already know how to boot to a Live CD of Ubuntu,
