I wonder how much they are worth? The sand cups are cool and were from the year we were at the Swan in DisneyWorld. I think mine are still packed away somewhere. A few years back someone posted a request on CompuServe IIRC looking for one of the black FoxPro mugs given away with new purchases of FoxPro. I had an extra one and sent it to him for free. I have looked under the covers of West Wind. I met Rick at a LA Fox User group. I worked at CountryWide, they used a Rick's technology to talk to their various web services! I have been able to keep my projects limited to desktop apps. It is time though to move a few things to the web. The only problem is that FoxPro has become a bad word around here. I have been forced to create COM+ versions of my VFP code. I then create recordsets for Crystal or just pump XML to other programs. The latest is a reporting portal. I use a VFP dll to extract data from the terribly structured SQL data warehouse. I keep working on conversions from FoxPro but the programming flavor of the day just can't deliver. I end up converting to the latest version of FoxPro. I just retired a FPD 2.6 accounting app. It WAS to be converted to Java but the developers had no experience with accounting. The project failed so I converted it to VFP 9 / SQL Server. I have worked in FoxBASE to VFP 9. I use it everyday and I can solve a customer's problem before the other .Net'ers or Java or Web team has a chance to even write it up! Nothing Runs Like a Fox! Amen to that! Just wish there could be a living document somewhere that highlighted all of these VFP successes over the .Net/Java/whatever failures. Any idea for the Fox Wiki perhaps? I see an app created for debug in 3 days time frame at International Paper. It takes the a week to make mock ups that we just mimic in code generation templates. Granted it's all web based, all stored procedure driven for data, as well as the data layout, triggers, and all 3 tier defined with bizObjects that not only verify the data is as we want it, but it also delivers messages back up to the UI when something stupid happens. David, I recently came across a couple of the plastic cups from a San Diego DevCon with the sand and stuff in bottom. I wonder how much they are worth? The sand cups are cool and were from the year we were at the Swan in DisneyWorld. I think mine are still packed away somewhere.
