If you find out let use know :-) These get picked up by our PCB house, who, with our permission, scratch them off the gerber data. Sometimes they're required in our designs, but not often. There isn't a single tool I'm aware of that will spot these, but you could try a combination of viewing in

I beleived that Protel 99SE SP6 is able to generate Pick and Place files. I cannot find in the menus the command to generate such files. It's under the CAM output generator. Under 98 and earlier it was a separate report under the reports menu. If you've already generated a CAM outputs
