Don't remember seeing one with jaws, just a suction tip.
At least not on chip shooters, maybe to place much larger parts?
I thought jaws where only on PTH parts insertion systems.
I have not used supplied libraries from Protel either the

I am using Protel99SE SP6 and I am new to it.Everytime I open the Design explorer , it
takes a lot of time opening all the previously opened design databases.
Is there a way to stop this from happening? All I want is that no design should open
when I start the design explorer.
Sure, close your designs before exiting Protel and the next time you open Protel no
designs will be open.

Quite simple: close all designs first, then close Protel.

make sure your design is closed before quitting Protel. A once in awhile
bug here within Protel may cause an error somewhere within your project.
I see the .gif, but I don't have protel handy so I don't know what the relative pad
sizes are. Would be interested to know.
Using an IPC-7352 land pattern calculator and data for a panasonic 1% 0402 I get:

Yes, it is worth your while, at least in 99SE. It's quite straightforward,
if what you mean is you want to print individual layers of a PCB you've
drawn.
Open the PCB you've drawn in Prtoel, then press F-P (file-print). This will
generate a default printout. Click on the tab at the top of the
