The Dynamics 3 compressor is slightly more basic plus it has a bunch of presets
that sometimes come in handy. The Pro Compressor, like it's companions, are
somewhat more sophisticated and have no presets. Among other things, they
include an audition feature for difference listening

The only way other tracks can get quantized while only one track is selected is
if your track selection has somehow been decoupled from your edit selection. If
the All group was somehow enabled while the track and edit selection became
unlinked, it could appear that there's only one

mixers and has a bit more character but is a bit processor hungry also.
