What you will need the app for depends on your set up and your needs. If you leave your Condensor mic plugged in to input 1 and never really change it for example then yes you can just set phantom power on and never really have to worry about turning it off or making any changes etc.I imagine

If you have an iOS Device to control your Apogee, Get the Apogee ands the left over cash to get a UAD Satellite card. That way you have an interface you can use, and you still can use UAD plug ins. The Focusrite Clarret 8PreX is nice is you need that many I/O as unlike the other Clarret unit

Nah, you can't control it from within Pro Tools. It's a stand-alone application. It might be possible to create macros to control it a bit with Keyboard Maestro but it won't have anything to do with Flo Tools. > On Nov 13, 2017, at 5:44 PM, Andre Jarreau > wrote:

Yes, Apogee support does not know how FlowTools works. My thought is if the APOGEE plugs into PT then regardless of of pass through, USB or Thunderbolt, FlowTools stands a chance of controlling it through PT. If anybody out there knows for sure one way or the other please let me know.
