Hello Brian,
Yes, I have been in touch with Slau and he is being incredibly helpful. I may
consider listening to the ProTools with Speech tutorials at some point, because
at least I’m sure they’ll give me a better idea of how things work.
I can tell that this list will be an invaluable resource
Hi,
Sorry as you may guess I replied in a rush to you originally, so
forgot you had specifically referred to using Voice Over and the mac.
As Slau recommended in his replies the standard version of Protools
and not HD or Protools first would be the best starting point in my
opinion.
I don't
Not to discourage you from Pro Tools as its definitely the most accessible out
of the box and SloTools only seem to make it more so. However what you are
describing can be done in reaper on the Mac especially now that the OSARA plug
in has been ported. I was just a bit confused since you stated
Hello,
Yes, my main use for PT would be to record and mix piano. I usually record with
4 mics, but occasionally use 3 when recording chamber music. Most of the time I
use an Apogee Quartet.

Hello,
No no, I am a Mac user and own several of them, so I was hoping to use Pro

What would be the best resource for me to get started? Are the Pro Tools with
Speech tutorials still the way to go or would you recommend something more
recent? Weren’t those tutorials
Hi Ignasi,
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by crossfades specifically designed for
piano or classical music in general (you didn't exactly specify) but I can
assure you that no platform is more widely used than Pro Tools. Also, it
happens to be extremely accessible, especially for purposes

Hi Ignasi,
Firstly your english and questions are perfectly phrased so thank you.
I think protools will be perfect for you and all the workflow you describe will
be both accessible and more simple than how you do things currently.
I edit piano and acoustic instruments every day and protools

Hey Abdul,
OK, I have some time now to address your questions.
First, let me say that you might only possibly need a trigger for specific
audio clips if you're planning to do it in real time. I would bet that you're
not planning to do the whole of each podcast episode live, without any edits.
Hey Abdul,
OK, one thing I forgot to mention is the issue of input monitoring. Now, I'm
not sure what the case is with LE systems but, with HD systems, one can switch
between monitoring the input or the playback of a given record-enabled track.
Option-k toggles between these two modes. It's
It seems he may haver not armed, or record enabled the mono track he

the recorded audio placed
I don't think so. In step 4 Abdul says he armed the track and then in the

right steps.
